07 - Network topologies
The most used topologies:
- Ring/1D Torus
- the usual ring one
- Mesh
- “maglia”
- Torus
- mesh+ edges
- Trees
- Fat trees
- like a three but we have more links on the roots
- Blocking fat trees
- same as fat trees but while going from roots to leafs, we reduce bandwidth
- Dragonfly
- fully connected groups of switches
- groups are fully connected between them
- Dragonfly+
- same as dragonfly, but switches are connected with a fat tree
- Slimfly
- Jellyfish
- Let’s drop any structure and use a random graph
- HammingMesh
- many configuration linked each other
- RDCNs
- Reconfigurable Data Center Networks
